What do you feel you have learnt from your premium task in the progression from it to the full product?
What do you feel you have learnt from your premium task in the
progression from it to the full product?

During the Prelium Task, it enabled me to start gearing up
of how I would direct the audience attention through camera movements in order
to show significance of a certain character in a mise en scene filled with
people. By using a tripod in my prelium task allowed me to create smoother transitions
from one frame to another to create a coherent flow and continuum. Moreover, I have learnt
the match on action shot as there was a conversation in my product (narrative –
break up scene) For example over the shoulder shot and a medium shot of my ‘couple’
in a restaurant in order to show a conversation between two people. Even
though, my product was only able to use partially the ‘match on action shot’ it
taught me the importance of sound as well. This is because referring to my
product as I had two characters having a conversation in the in the equilibrium
within two different locations it was quite hard for the diegetic sound to
create a coherent flow compared to an original match on action shot. With the skills I had in order to create the attention between the two character I was able to film my character through close up shot for example: shots of drew in the flower shop and Zoe in the kitchen for my audience to establish a friendship. On the other other hand, I was able to film shot reverse shot during my 'break up scene' in my narrative in order to show continuum between the conversation. However, due to the way I wanted to direct audiences attention within the narrative I was still able to develop and use this skill my final product. Tuesday, 8 March 2016
